Shipping and Delivery Terms for AmlouBox

1. General information and delivery areas

AmlouBox operates as a marketplace for various specialized food vendors. Depending on the type of goods (fresh products or dry goods), two different shipping methods are available:

  • Local delivery (fresh & dry goods): Currently only available within a defined delivery area (e.g. in Düsseldorf). Whether a delivery address falls within the local delivery area is shown to the customer before checkout begins, based on the postcode entered.

  • Nationwide shipping (dry goods only): Products from vendors offering dry goods only can be delivered nationwide by parcel (DHL).

2. The marketplace model: one vendor per order

To ensure cold-chain compliance for fresh goods and smooth logistics, the following special rules apply:

  • Single-vendor carts: Per order, only products from a single vendor can be added to the cart.

  • Combined purchases: If the customer wants products from different vendors, separate orders must be placed for each. Each order is a separate delivery or shipping process, for which the respective vendor's shipping costs apply separately.

3. Delivery methods, delivery times, and shipping costs

A. Local delivery (direct delivery)

Applies to all vendors (fresh goods such as meat, fish, fruit & vegetables, as well as local dry-goods vendors) within the delivery area.

  • Shipping costs: The flat fee for local delivery is €6.99 per order. From an order value of €99.00, delivery is free of charge.

  • Order values: The minimum order value for local delivery is €24.99. For logistical reasons, the order value for local orders is capped at a maximum of €200.00.

  • Delivery times (same-day delivery): Deliveries are made on business days.

    • Orders placed on business days before 3:00 PM: Delivered the same business day (delivery window is generally between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM).

    • Orders placed on business days after 3:00 PM, or on Sundays/holidays: Delivered the next business day.

    • Note on delivery time: A non-binding preference can be left at checkout; an exact delivery time cannot be guaranteed.

B. Nationwide shipping (DHL parcel)

Applies only to vendors offering dry goods who are enabled for nationwide shipping.

  • Shipping costs: DHL shipping costs start from €4.99 and are calculated based on the total weight of the order. The exact shipping cost is shown transparently at checkout before purchase.

  • Delivery times: Shipping takes place after processing by the vendor via standard mail through DHL. The standard transit time is 1–3 business days from handover to the shipping provider.

4. Self pickup (click & collect)

As an alternative to delivery or shipping, AmlouBox offers an "in-store pickup" option, provided the respective vendor supports it.

  • If the customer selects this option, all shipping fees are waived regardless of the order value.

  • The order must be picked up by the customer at the respective vendor's regular business hours. A minimum order value generally does not apply here (depending on the vendor's settings).

5. Acceptance of goods and fresh products

Since the locally offered goods are mostly fresh and partly require refrigeration, customers choosing local delivery are required to ensure the goods can be received in person at the specified delivery address within the specified delivery window. Liability for loss of quality due to late acceptance by the customer is excluded.
